A little Token
"I know that, but what's it doing here?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
Marsha slapped her husband.
"What's that for?" He rubbed his cheek.
"You're a lying git." Marsha threw the ring at him. "I thought I told you to get rid."
He smiled. "I wanted a little token."
"Oh do you now, and how much will you want this token when your ass is in jail."
Her husband's eyes widened. "You think they'll find out from that?"
"You're such an idiot, it's engraved. If anyone sees that, they'll be wondering what happened to the owner. And who'd you think they'll be asking." Marsha whacked him again. "Just get rid of it." Marsha turned and headed to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"To find another girl of course, we'll reach our target soon enough." She grinned and walked out the door.
Her husband bent down, picked up the ring, and then shoved it into his pocket. "And when I reach mine, I'll be adding your ring to the pile." He smirked and left the room.
