Tripping From Infinity
The beast of infinity is chasing me. (So naturally, I'm running away.) If it catches me, I will be devoured - disappearing down its endless gullet for a heartbeat's pulse of forever. Anyone faced with this kind of chase feels an irresistible pull from the far end of time - a pull that draws all energy. Every fraction of a motion made slices impossibly endless fractals from the indelible membrane of every single waking moment.
Kinetic progression hits a brick wall of stasis — motion follows motion follows motion in endless procession. The beast of infinity growls in incessant mirror echoes. It is defeated by its own mindless aggression. I am driven by sympathy for my predator. We are both senseless victims of causality.
