Good Doggie

"Youíre coming with us, Earthman!" said a tall, two-headed, orange-skinned creature.

"Can I bring my dog?" I hollered, as three of them dragged me from the house toward their space craft.

"Whatís a dog?"

"A highly developed Earth creature. Iím sure youíll have lots of fun dissecting it."

"Where is your dog?"

"In a glass case inside my house. Just stick your hand - or whatever that clawed thing is - inside the case and pick it up. Youíll find it very friendly."

"Get the dog," the tall creature told one of his cohorts.

As they shoved me aboard their spaceship, I heard a horrible scream. Overjoyed, I hoped theyíd send another from their group to investigate what happened. They did.

Once inside their craft, I didnít hear the second scream. But I was certain it came and that my king cobra had lessened their planetís population by two.

"Good Doggie," I muttered.
