The Woman Remembered

Tonight as I lay in his outstretched arms, I considered my options. Rumy, you know how I am; too thoughtful for my own good. I wondered what you might say if you were here with me. If you could see the lights from the boats upon the Seine framed ever so perfectly in the hotel window. Earlier in the evening we walked the Pont Royal, hand in hand and giggled like school children. It was a moment in time so perfect, so exquisite that I was afraid to close my eyes for fear it would all disappear. Yet... I miss you. I understand why you couldn't come with me, and not just to Paris. Even so, you will always be with me.
