Torrential rains flooded my house. Suffering from high fever, I couldn't escape. I fell into the water. Suddenly, arms grabbed me. Then I passed out.
When I woke, a craggy, greenish face was close enough to kiss. Three eyes stared into mine. I thought, Who the hell has three orange eyes?
The eyes' owner climbed on top of me and chirped. I was too weak to resist. The melodic sounds calmed me.
Then I felt ecstatic surges through every nerve. Overwhelmed by the wondrous intensity, I passed out.
"You're gonna be okay" said a nurse.
"How'd I get to this hospital room?" I asked.
"You'd never believe me. Government Agents from Area 51 have been waiting for you to regain consciousness. They want to talk to you."
"Because of who brought you here. Brace yourself. When the flood waters recede, this place is gonna be crawling with reporters. You'll probably make millions outta this."
"What are you talking about?"
"As if you didn't know. Ever hear of abstinence - especially when it comes to strange stuff? Oh, by the way, she's a patient here." That said, she left.
I had no idea what was happening. But I realized whoever owned those freaky, orange eyes had saved me. I owed her.
Minutes later, the nurse returned with a cloth-covered basin. "This is for you. It's from her."
When I removed the cloth, hundreds of tiny, squirming, orange-eyed things chirped. I swear one said "Da-da."
